  1. @Cupcake You could first make intimate friends and then try upping your communication skills. If you are talking to random people, it might be tough to improve. I said I am a boy, and somehow me being a boy results in this advice? For women it's different? Also, how can you say it, coming from a woman?
  2. @Phil Phil yesterday was a little hard. I had dinner with family together with my 3 cousins (all of them are kids) and at some point they just started making fun of me with their stupid silly jokes (you know how it is, kids) super cringe. But I felt powerless. They were keeping on annoying me with those jokes even as I eat and try to ignore they laugh at the fact I'm eating and trying to ignore. So stupid! They were even joking about me killing myself ("imagine he tries to kill himself with a gun and misses because...." some joke about how I like to keep things clean and don't like when my food is being touched with bare hands). I didn't know what to do. I am 20 years old and they are kids. It makes more sense for them to make fun of me, but awkward if I try to make fun of them. Not that I have any intention to do that. They just think they're the center of the world. Yeah man, I feel all those emotions right now even though right now none of this is happening. Kinda just felt like sharing what's "going on" with me. But I really didn't know how to deal with this situation of being laughed at and mocked by little kids, with a pointer. I know it sounds pathetic, coming from a grown up man like me, although sometimes I don't feel like that and that my value in the family has dropped.
  3. @Phil That would be the assumption(s) there’s a you, people and suffering. When people here on the forum talk about their suffering, you and others appear to give advice, assuming they are suffering. And how do you know they are suffering? Are you saying suffering doesn't exist? Didn't the buddha say something along the lines of "Life is suffering"? ... So then why are you telling me this? What makes you think I need to inspect and express?
  4. @Pluto So the transmutation is correlated with me collecting more semen in my balls? How does releasing my semen result in a lesser ability to transmute?
  5. @Phil It's not how I feel, but rather the assessment I made out of the situations I've experienced. Powerlessness, frustration and hate are more likely the emotions I feel when thinking about it.
  6. @Inno @Orb I don't think the show was that dark. It was just a lot of gore imo. A dark anime that comes to mind is Future Diary.
  7. @Phil I haven't made it so clear. My question is how do I become a better speaker, more correctly - how do I stop this suffering that peaks in those moments?
  8. @Phil Didn't get it So you'll never assume a mute person is suffering? What if the person doesn't know he's suffering? What if I am suffering yet I keep suppressing and ignoring, so nobody knows I'm suffering, and the suffering just continues...
  9. @Omar Osama I'm currently rewatching hxh (well I'm watching a reaction channel on patreon but it isn't cut, and I get to experience the show again together with someone virtual who doesn't know what to expect). Blue Lock is the best sporting anime also in my opinion, but the only other sports anime I've seen is Haikyu.
  10. @Omar Osama Oh shoot you used to be the one with the pfp of killua? I remember such a person was here and I loved to see it because I like him. @Orb Bro, it really don't matter if you know the ending already. It's not an anime that has a straight plot and progressing somewhere... There were many amazing things that happened in the middle that makes the show very beautiful. I highly recommend you get back to it, although I know the reluctantness of picking up from wherever you left, from whenever you left. Spirited away is like the most classic anime movie probably out there that every kid has seen. No way you haven't seen it, and if not, well I recommend.
  11. @Inno Have seen it as well. Another great one as well! Although sometimes it was just too hard to watch because of all this gore.
  12. @almond Watched Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro. Very beautiful movies, especially Joe Hisaishi's compositions
  13. @Omar Osama Oh shit yeah this is also a very great anime on god! It made me really like soccer (or football)
  14. An Instagram comment I just read: Freedom is for your mind not for you
  15. Crazy to think how everything comes down to the super complexity patterns carefully created with billions of nano-size transistors, and communicate in an incredibly fast speed with pulses and breaks of electrical voltages, passing through complex physical hardware, traveling all around the world.
  16. @Orb Here we go, I actually believed you'd be here quickly. Fashow. The last few episodes of MHA were PEAK. Haven't watched (only 1 episode long ago) but it seems cool and a different vibe. Devilman Crybaby? Oh yeah, now I remember that you mentioned this anime some previous time. I have a dejavou, perhaps I made in the past a similat thread lol.
  17. @Phil Must be very nice to have a father like you, that your kids can be comfortable with you and you can help guide them to their source. There is some benefit in being next to you 24/7 and get help quickly when you need it. It's a cheat code lol 😂 Endless unique snowflakes, all the same snow. So yes & no. With the snowflake metaphor, do you mean that there are endless unique types of "problems" but they all stem from the same thing? As consciousness there is an experience of & exploration of, and guidance of emotions, yes. Of course. Is there someone who masters, no. Of course not. What I really meant to ask is are they living well? Do they seem to suffer sometimes?
  18. @Phil It isn't seen or heard but it is felt. I imagine it and feel strong emotions. This is direct experience.
  19. Felt like I should've made this thread long ago. I feel like I'm the only person who writes the word "anime" here (even searched the keyword and checked lol), but statistically this is not possible because also the age range is mostly younger adults from what it seems like. So yeah, who watches anime? In order to make it a little more interesting I'd like you to name at least a few good anime that you watched (could be also that impacted you). I'll start: Attack on Titan Hunter X Hunter Vinland Saga Demon Slayer Naruto
  20. Was debating whether I should put this on The Path, but it is a mixture of both I guess. Yes, I know this is some bullshit title, and yes, self referential thoughts, no "not built", I am amazing and all of that. Let me just express what's going on for me and maybe you could try speaking from a more "lower level", just not too much advaita. Today at the park I was doing some training and I met a guy I tend to see 35 years of age, and it's nice to talk to him. Not so long after another kid arrived 15 years of age that I also speak to him some times. So it was kind of like 3 of us were talking together (the older guy is very friendly with the people that come here), just that it didn't feel much like that for me. The older guy was asking me a question and the kid was like answering instead of me (just some general question about protein and muscle building) and I felt like it was hard for me to talk and I probably hated him at the moment. When I tried to speak I was speaking for the sake of speaking and not for the sake of adding value, for that in order to not add value that will go to waste (people not listening) I must make sure my voice is heard and that they are fully in, that there is no potential for someone to interrupt and cut me off. I don't feel authentic. It just doesn't feel natural to talk like that. I already forgot how it is to just naturally talk, as if it was the default, the granted. Sadly it doesn't only happen when speaking in groups of people (although it mostly happens there), but also when speaking to a single person. Too much focused on trying to speak for being heard and not interrupted. Yes... I got it down - this is the motive behind my speech. This is why writing is much easier for me than talking! But man... That feeling I carry after an interaction with someone sometimes. At some point I didn't feel like talking to that kid anymore because I figured that I get triggered by him (by the things he says, the way he made it hard for me to speak to that older guy, that he tried to compare with me and act like his "buddy"). But I can't blame him. Obviously he is not a bad person, it's just that I am living in prison.
  21. @spiritual dreams I kinda get what you're both saying but I agree with Tarak that it's your experiences which lead your path, and if they crumble you then you'll be more likely to open up to a different way of living. However, let's say you have 2 people that experienced a similar devastating life situation - I believe the younger one has a slightly higher chance of opening up his mind to a new way... But yeah, still can't be too sure about this because a middle-aged man has his house, family, career and so much to lose, while an old guy might be retired and has less to lose and gives less of a shit and willing to learn. I guess depends on the individual 🤷‍♂️
  22. @Phil But it's not just that you're talking about the past; You are talking about your past. Also I am not talking about the past, but my past. If we're both talking about the past then it should probably be the same, no? Isn't it a matter of perspective as well, stemming from the fact that each of us experience our own unique different experiences right now?
  23. @Phil That has to do with why the perspective feels off, yes. ... So nothing in the past had ever existed, yeah? Memories are exactly as experienced, which is presently. How are they different from "regular" thoughts? People tend to talk a lot about memories, as though they're different than some random fantasy. There's obviously some reason why we believe in memories. Are you a story if there’s no past? I mean the "me" is a story itself. Is it wrong talking about a past? Do you ever talk about your past, telling your friend a funny experience that happened to you yesterday, or maybe even tell your kids your life story?
  24. @Mandy How can you tell the difference between emotions?
