  1. @Nadosa Hey, thats awesome! Happy for you. How exciting and take advantage of @Nowt free advice! Rock on!🎢🎸🀟
  2. Welcome to the forum!πŸ’™
  3. Nice! Glad I helped. I've also found that changing careers is sometimes a part of evolving as a person. What you were drawn to as a 20 yr old may not be what you're drawn to as a 40 yr old.
  4. @WhiteOwl First off, if I haven't told you already, "Welcome to the forum!"😊 Anyways, I feel that ppl are drawn into what areas need them the most or that would fit them best. Like, I would never have been drawn into anything regarding climate. Not because I'm an asshole and don't care at all, but it doesn't spark a fire in me that would motivate me to want to do that. However, other ppl I'm sure it does. I am a nurse (now doing QA/coding) and I'm sure many ppl wouldn't ever do that. See? I say do what you really have a passion for or you won't be happy and over time the choices change sometimes and that's okay too. I'm really not sure if I answered your question, but I enjoyed writing this, lol. 🀣
  5. @fopylo You poor thing. So, not only have I colored my hair different colors in my lifetime and perhaps not been too happy with it, a time or two, but my first career was as a hair dresser. So, depending on how unhappy you are, there are things you can do. You can cut it shorter, so it grows out faster with a few haircuts or you could call up the hairdresser and tell them how unhappy your are and will they fix it or start over with another upscale color correction hairdresser to fix it. I'll tell you my worst color issue was when I was in 11th grade I was taking cosmetology, but was in my first year. So really didn't know anything. Anyways, I had heavily blonde highlight hair for several years and thought, hmm, I think I'll go back to being a brunette. I bought a box color medium brown and colored my hair at home, and oh my God, I made a mess of my hair. It was jett black! See you should not put a brown color on hair that has been blonde without first putting on a protein filler. Guess I didn't get that far in my training, lol. πŸ˜‚ It was so bad and so drastic I had to wear it up in this clip, we use to call it a banana clip and because it was pulled so far back it didn't look to awful. I wore my hair like that for 2 months. Oh, forgot to say I tried all the tricks to lighten it without destroying my hair. They didn't work. 🀭 However, after the 2 months it actually looked pretty good. This too shall pass! 😘

    The Self

@bardh Yes, I get what you're saying and I agree, but tbh the lingo you use to describe it is a bit confusing only because many think of "yourself" as the mind/ego, not the Self (awareness). I had to read it 3 times, but I got you!πŸ‘Š Love it! Hey, welcome to the forum! πŸ’™
  7. @Erin "What is NOT allowed on this forum" *Threats of violence or malice against anyone, member or otherwise. Lxlichael was repeatedly, in multiple posts, threatening a person (we all know who) outside of this forum, with bodily harm. That is against forum guidelines. He was given the opportunity to stop posting in this manner and he declined. Forum admin and staff do not need forum member consensus to give out warnings or to ban members that do not follow the guidelines and rules. I think you may not be clear on this point. We also can (at our discretion) lock and/or hide threads. It just so happens this thread in question was requested to be hidden by the OP. Take care!
  8. Hehehe, okay let's do the pics just to clarify for anyone not so sure.πŸ˜‚ UG Krishnamurti- Now, here's Jiddu Krishnamurti-
  9. @MazE Welcome to the forum! πŸ’™
  10. @Orb ..and you either jive with the expression or are repelled by it, lol.
  11. @fopylo There really isnt right or wrong, although my writing may look that way. If someone decides to smoke their whole life doesnt mean its ultimately wrong, but they "may" battle that choice through our their life, internally. it also is case specific, say you normally (therefore conditionally) run 5 miles every morning, but this morning you "want" to sleep and have the battling interal dialogue about it. Is that choice good or bad? So, instead of me saying the conditioned thought is some form of comfort/addiction. I should have left it at just conditioning. So, let's just say the battle is usually conditioned thought vs a thought that's a new idea (ie. let's lose weight, yeah!).
  12. To sides of the ego (thought), but one is a conditioned thinking pattern...typically, the one you're fighting against. The one that likes being a drinker/smoker, the one that wants to eat cookies all day, the one that wants to be lazy. See the pattern? The conditioning is usually some form of comfort and/or addiction to some way of being and the thought that isn't conditioned can see beyond the conditioning ie. Weight loss, new job, smoke-free life style and tries to convince the conditioned patterned to change its ways. Shining the light on conditioned thought patterns when they arise and really seeing them for what they are, time and time again, helps to dissolve them. Especially, if you change your thoughts and behaviors to something healthy at the same time. If someone has healthy conditioning, then they don't have these type of battles that often.
  13. @Blessed2 My son plays the electric guitar. He hated the in-person lessons and decided to teach himself from online learning. He likes playing old stuff, like Guns n' Rose's, etc. I can't tell you how many times I had to yell down the hallway when he was in high school, "SHUT YOUR DOOR!!!!!" πŸ˜… Good luck with it all.
  14. @Blessed2 πŸ’™ πŸ₯° I'm loving the vibe of your posts guys, awesome!
  15. I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Not only did he threaten someone and refused to follow the guidelines, but there are things behind the scenes you may not be aware of. Anyways, hope you stay, if you'd like. If not, peace.βœŒοΈπŸ’™
