This can be like a shared dreamboard for what we'd like to see! Not to say that you aren't already the creator, but let's imagine we're the President of the entire world / the universe, and what we choose will be implemented. It can be a "big" creation, like burning the old to the ground and completely re-creating the system, or it can be "small", like a very specific government organization, law, act, service, etc. Keep the thread running and come back if/when you encounter a new idea. Humour and lightheartedness is also appreciated of course. Maybe it’s implemented in policy or implements policy but at the very least the world get’s to see what the world is voting for with respect to each issue. One ‘issue’ which which could be voted on is moral & ethical parameters of a business. Not suggesting it actually dictates or limits what anyone could do business wise or the income they could make or what they do with it, but that it could again at least reflect what the world actually wants relative to what’s going on. An example of a sub-point could be an income multiple, or how many times an owner or CEO’s income is, in comparison to the entry level income of a new employee at the same company. There could also of course be parameters for environmental impact etc. The site could include anything. Like there's one planet or one society, there would be one social media platfrom. All services, such as social aid, hospitals, tax services, could offer their service there. Yet there could also be a personal profile for everyone to share thoughts, pictures, videos. Even build an entire career within that platform. If they don't want to be in the military, they must do civilian service instead. It's about a year of service for all men. In indochina, I think especally Laos, it's common for young men to spend a year or two in a buddhist monastery. I'd turn military optional, and offer a meditation / the path / Truth "school" as an alternative. For all people after school, around 18-20 years old. There would be meditation, studying many different traditions and their scriptures, retreats, emotional understanding, expression, devotional practices/volunteer work (growing food, sharing it for those in need, assisting in hospitals, cleaning up the enviroment etc.) Quote Mention There must be an effortless way. Without you holding a relationship together, your end drops away. You have to make relations happen, they don't happen by magic. Relationships are fought for. You need someone to join together all those disparate and flaky ends and to hold them together. Mandy Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 @Joseph Maynor Imagine if we designed houses to take advantage of the angle of the sunlight they receive at different times of the day, the slope of the land, the climate they're built in, the materials that are abundant and long lasting in that climate, without assuming that houses can be separated from their environment. A lot of the things that are engineered are built with the assumption that man's will is antagonistic to nature's, and that's how it seems to be, but never was the case.
