Hey, Ummmmmmmmmm... I don't think there is a lot I could say about it tbh. I guess I will state the obvious in that this wasn't my content, but rather another YouTuber who wanted to talk to me specifically about Leo because he went through that whole Actualized ringer, and thankfully started to look for a more grounded approach. As for the thread itself - Its the same old defensive knee-jerk over-reaction without actually understanding what is being said. Same old Leo, same old drones running defence. A good example of this is Leo's little rant about "compassion" which was a response to me mentioning how shitty and flippant he is in addressing the members of the forum. Clearly its an issue, we know its an issue because in moments of clarity HE HIMSELF has made video's and posts promising to be less of a dick, which immediately falls by the wayside when his nature re-asserts itself. So if we can agree that he has an issue controlling his attitude then what is the problem with talking about it? The answer is simply that Leo cannot handle criticism, and so he gets triggered by the mere act of criticism, without understanding the nature or validity of the criticism. To go back to my original video on him - clearly he doesn't have 5MEO DMT induced psychic healing abilities, so what was the actual problem with pointing that out? Likewise here he clearly does talk to people in a flippant, authoritarian, and slightly twatty manner. I know it, he knows it, we all know it, and its completely unnecessary other than to give him a little power trip - so what is so offensive to him about pointing it out? My guess is that to him the offense is the mere act of criticism, particularly when the criticism is valid. In his response he straw mans my point about compassion. Nobody is expecting him to hand out hugs or to not be serious about his work, but that's not really the argument being made - which is that its absolutely possible for him to go about his guru business without acting like a massive cunt to the people who (presumably) look up to him, particularly when dealing with people who are clearly psychologically fragile. I see he has now banned any mention of me on his channel - I'm flattered that I got under his skin that badly, but like I said at the beginning it wasn't even my video, so basically he is flipping out over anyone even talking about him outside of his official narrative. Reality Check: There are multiple examples on these forums of you being deceitful and outright lying. You are not a defender of truth. It’s evident you don’t even know what “Truth” actually means, along with all the various other labels you use to describe yourself.

Hi Cupcake, I am sorry to hear that you are having a difficult time due to your experience on Actualized, and I hope you don't mind me offering a bit of advice. Your first priority should be to focus on your personal well being. I appreciate it can feel empowering to do something like create petitions and other forms of action against Actualized, but my concern is that this is locking you into a certain mindset, preventing you from moving on, and healing. If you are being hospitalized and feeling like your life is threatened then its gone too far, and there is a risk that this anger might escalate into something more toxic. I would encourage you to let it go and prioritize YOU. Wishing you well for your life post-Actualized 🙏

The idea that psychedelics = a certain way of thinking is incorrect. He is the way he is because he is the way he is. Pre-psychedelics his output was equally high levels of absurd fantasy when he was trying to portray himself as some uber-mensch pussy-magnet pick up artist. He was always delusional, all that has changed is the narrative of the delusion. I would also challenge the idea that he does “a lot” of psychedelics. Obviously its hard to get exact numbers but my perception is that (based on your average psychonaut) he does an average amount, but the fact that he doesn’t handle them particularly well and makes a lot of noise about things like Alien Kangaroo God give the impression he is permanently plugged into an intravenous drip of DMT. I think the only thing that has changed over the years is he has started being more controlling and withdrawn into his own bullshit.

@Robed Mystic I 100% agree that you are not articulate enough. The middle paragraph was a generalized statement on how I perceive the human condition and could apply to anyone, but if you see “twat” as being a descriptor for yourself then thats on you. Also no, being “something” and spiritual bypassing are not mutually exclusive, nor even necessarily related, so again I can only presume you have no idea what these words mean. I can indeed help myself. I think its fairly apparent that the language I use is methodical and deliberate, and I am more than happy to explain the rationale behind my linguistic choices, as I have many times. Anyway accordingly to you my language and actions are perfect and beyond judgement, so you are contradicting yourself. I have noticed that this is a common trope of the Actualized membership, in that their stated beliefs in no way align with their manifest behavior. You and Leo are prime examples of this.

This, along with your other comments, is simply spiritual bypassing and lacking connection to your existence as a human being, Regardless of your beliefs around God/Infinity/Whatever… you are for the duration of your lifetime a human being, and that human being can absolutely act right or wrong, within the context of being a human being. Yes things will take care of themselves in the end by means of whatever your beliefs are, but thats not a free pass to justify acting like a twat. Human beings are separate, its part of the magic of being human in my opinion, and you absolutely can “get it wrong”.

While its easy to point the finger at someone like Trump and say they are a buffoon (which he is in my opinion), and that right wing blah blah blah, I think an interesting question is... is the US left any better? Honestly from where I am standing then the answer is NO. Both sides of this absurd two party system are equally corrupt, incompetent, and full of shit.

With all this talk of bans and points I think there is something interesting which occurs to me. Firstly a quick disclaimer - I am sincerely not saying this as a way of claiming any kind of superiority or that I did something better than anyone who was banned/pointed, so please don't interpret as such. Quite the contrary this is more intended to gesture towards Leo's mindset. I have never received any ban/point on Actualized, and I think the case could be made that I have challenged him there (and elsewhere) on par with anyone else who was banned/pointed. Not only that but my criticism has a reasonably far reach and generally receives positive feedback as having merit, although perhaps delivered in a slightly unsavoury way. So what gives? I would propose that the difference in treatment comes down to how Leo perceives ownership of the person making the criticism. If you are one of "his" then you are not PERMITTED to speak against him, to do so would to be a TRAITOR, which requires PUNISHMENT, in order to bring you BACK IN LINE. I think its fair to say that Leo never viewed me this way as I did not have any dependency upon him or his forum, so the punishment would have been ineffective. It wouldn't have hurt me. While the terms I have capitalized above might seem extreme or far fetched, I have actually seen them being deployed on his forum by the moderators during banning episodes. "This person is a traitor to the teachings... etc", "It is not permitted to say X about God...etc". I don't think I need to name any names about who says such things. Its no secret that Leo often talks to his community as if they were the shit he just scraped off the bottom of his shoe, and that he is above them. I think this whole ban/points thing demonstrates a deeper hierarchy - he OWNS you, he OWNS your thoughts. You are not permitted to speak against him because that is treason, whereas with an outsider like me he has no power he can leverage, so he has to employ different tactics - which is mostly to get the faithful to parrot his chosen counternarrative, which in itself will usually be some form of falsehood. This is why the question about the cult-like behaviour of Actualized frequently rears its head - its because it does indeed use the cult playbook to control is membership. Whether this is intentional or not is a different topic, but the behaviour is clearly on display.

This is a different topic with a specific wording in the title, so it shouldn't really come as much of a surprise as to why that particular phrasing was used. My opinion of you as delusional is unchanged, and no you don't have to be a doctor to use that word 🙄 I don't think you know what "good faith" means, along with the various other words we covered in the previous thread.

As someone who doesn't live in the US, doesn't closely follow politics, and doesn't have much time for bullshit or those who spread it - I think Donald Trump is an absolute tit, and the fact he was the appointed leader of your country is a perfect display of how catastrophically fucked the US is, and what a farce the US electoral process is. I think the US lost a lot of respect from other countries during that time, in particular those in the EU. ...but then you go and replace him with Joe Biden - you could not make this shit up 😀

@Joseph Maynor Yes, its a common tactic to imply something and let peoples imagination fill in the blanks, particularly with the lose definitions of words that is prevalent today. The story itself is vague enough that it could be that someone once put their hand on his leg without consent, or it could be that he was brutally sodomized - and I would guess that most people who are reading it lean towards the latter, which I doubt is true. It reminds me of another popular YouTuber who had addiction problems and declared "My wife took my kids and left me due to my addictions", and needless to say it generated a large amount of attention and sympathy, with the picture being painted that he was now facing a separation and custody case - or at least that is the conclusion people jumped to based on the information provided. Turns out the reality was that the wife had taken the kids away on a planned vacation for the addict to go cold turkey, without the kids having to see it. We know Leo is prone to narrative spin, either intentional or otherwise, so I am keeping that option open as a possibility in regards to this statement of his.

I don’t think that is true, and its certainly not true within the context of this thread. There is a type of behavior that can be identified as “discordant”, and not everyone is manifesting that behavior.

For the source of the discordance within Actualized I don’t think you need look much further than one of the occupants of this thread, the discordant mindset that person brings into every conversation, and the prevalence of that same mindset within the Actualized membership and its leader. Actualized is discordant because its collective voice is discordant. Its collective voice is discordant because the individuals that make up that collective are internally discordant. Conversations here in this forum become derailed and discordant whenever such a discordant individual is present. This thread is an example of the discordance ingressing.

@Robed Mystic you either go to one of the places in the US where it is decriminalized and readily available (I think Portland), you take a spiritual vacation to a country where things are legal (Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica etc), or you do what most people do and break the law within the privacy of their own home.

@Devin I don’t think there is a “one size fits all” so I would ask some more questions to find out what aligns with that particular person. For example there is no point in reccomending someone like Nisargadatta Maharaj to someone who is coming from a background like me and is just starting out, although that content can be valuable later on. As a very general answer to your question then I think Alan Watts is an entertaining and relatable all-rounder who is good for beginners. Unsurprisingly I think the best spiritual teachers are psychedelics and the individual themselves, but again it depends on the individual.
