The handles are monarch caterpillars. The tiny encased monarch in this one was a component made by another artist. The milkweed flowers are all tiny dots of glass layered and encased in clear. Mandy Posted July 19, 2022 Share Posted July 19, 2022 I painted this on a piece of driftwood I found after seeing an owl painted on driftwood somewhere and wanting one like it. I found this piece of wood on the beach and couldn't believe how perfect the shape was. I painted the owl flying straight on to fit the shape of the driftwood. It just took me 10-15 minutes and I only watched a video regarding the ear. That is why I appreciate this - it feels like a good success to me.
