  1. That's also what I meant by "please be nice to each other"😅 doesn't only apply to you of course
  2. @Robed Mystic Perfectly fine with that!! Just the whole "you're not awake" thing is kinda unnecessary.
  3. *me, sitting with dry, red eyes in front of my computer, watching this thread turn into unconstructive, personal accusations* Guys and gals, please be nice to each other - and ask yourself: is it really worth it?
  4. Good point. It's not possible to separate teacher from teaching. Becase there's no such thing as "the teaching" as something in its own right. If there was, people wouldn't listen to Gurus and teachers in the first place. He is just a dude, definitely - but at the same time, he's not just a dude. He will literally gaslight people into their own peril, because he lacks compassion and embodiment. It's still an intellectual game to him, even though the stage has changed from "philosophy" to "spirituality" and "realizations". At the same time, he provides immense amounts of value - for free. So a pure anti-Leo campaign wouldn't be appropriate. Go pick cherries.
  5. The first problem we need to see when it comes to "understanding consciousness" is this: trying to point at consciousness or trying to become aware of cosnciousness is like trying to touch the tip of your finger with the tip of your finger. You can't turn around and look at the very thing which is looking, and that's exactly the central issue. The only way to "know" the tip of your finger is to be the tip of your finger, which already is the case. The tip of your finger doesn't have to achieve anything in order to be what/who it already is, except: let go of the thought that consciousness is "something", in the sense of something that can somehow be grasped at all, either with the mind, or with the senses, or even with consciousness itself. "It" (consciousness) is not something that can enter consciousness, in other words, you cannot become conscious of consicousness (at least not in the conventional sense). Consicousness cannot be an object of your knowledge/perception/awareness. Not because it is exceedlingly difficult or anything like that, but simply because the problem itself is utterly and completely meaningless. If you thought that it was possible to touch the tip of your finger with the tip of your finger, you would completely wear youself out in futility and frustration. And in fact, this may be necessary for you to understand the meaninglessness of the basic assumption of your enterprise. And this is the basic idea behind Zen Koans; the master poses a meaningless problem which cannot be groqued with the mind, which has not logical answer and which can't be explained in any way whatsoever. Again; not because the Koan is extremely complicated and difficult, but because the attempt of finding an "answer" is just the wrong approach. And so consciousness is said to be void, emptiness. Emptiness is not a quality of consciousness, it's not something that "it is". Here's a Koan for you: "Show me nothing".
  6. I appreciate so much that I can hear... Sometimes I just cannot believe that music exists... Was in a classical concert toady, it was... incredible, just incredible.
  7. Just wanted to share this wonderful, wonderful movie with you, it's one of my all-time favourites! Enjoy!😄❤️
  8. I'd say it's actually the other way round. Leo's teaching style is one of the most intellectually stimulating. There is more than enough room to play mental games. His videos are hours long, talking about something which essentially can't be talked about. And "mental masturbation" is a huge problem in his forum. He is indeed a very serious person. Which is certainly useful up to a point. But what "should" happen when one is as "spiritually advanced" as Leo claims is that the seriousness with which one carries oneself and views life, diminishes and gives way to a childlike sincerity and un-seriousness that recognises that spirituality and enlightenment are not serious at all.
  9. Beautifully said, and quite true. @bardh Whatever happens, happens. That's the (nondual) allowing which is neither in your control, nor out of your control, it simply is. It's existence allowing itself, by existing - that is Love. All you can do is notice, that whatever is the case, is the case. Don't allow people to take advantage of you. Disallowing that is also, what is. Everything that is, is, and everything is (thereby) already allowed, including the disallowing.
  10. I appreciate that I was accepted for the topic of my Master's thesis that I applied for... that makes me happy every time I think about it.🙂 I appreciate that the weather is so good lately where I live, and that the sun boosts my mood right from the moment when I wake up... what a simple, wonderful thing the sun is... no wonder our ancestors revered it as God☀️ I appreciate that I could help someone on this forum, and I appricate the Love that I could express and receive in doing so❤️ I appreciate that I can visit my parents in my home town and that we can spend time together❤️ I appreciate that I can express my appreciation for all of the above and that @Mandy made this post and that @Phil so selflessly provided us with this forum🙏🏼❤️
  11. Beautiful... Maybe that was the holy spirit?😄
  12. @God Hi👋🏼 did you really get banned for suggesting a dark theme?😂
  13. I appreciate that you started this thread, it's a good idea🙂 and I appreciate this forum 🙏🏻
  14. @ivankiss @Winter @lxlichael Welcome! nice to have you around❤
  15. lmao what a description😂😂
  16. You can only be you, ever. Imagine you could be two people at the same time. Still you.
  17. YES! You're "I"all the time. You're always "I". It doesn't matter who you are. Don't you see that this "I" is the same? There are no two "I". There are no others, dude. Now, once you realize that this "I" isn't inside your body, but that your body is inside you, and that the same applies to literally everything and everyone, then there's no more Solipsism. The question of "do they have their own internal world" becomes meaningless because "I" is not something inside the body, not something inside "you" (ego).
  18. Notice that all of your suffering comes from "what if?" "What if?" is not the same as "is".
  19. No!!! Way too complicated!! Who are you??
  20. PS: it's ridiculously simple. What's the simplest answer you could possibly give me to the question "who are you?" Who are you?
