  1. Leave and never comeback to this topic 😞 yes sounds right though, these attempts might be futile as you say
  2. @Indisguise "Show me nothing" Well, how about Deep sleep devoid of any dreams? That's the most nothing I can show you of. Also yes, I can understand the futility of my question but my mind had to ask it anyway 😞
  3. @Faith Hii thanks a lot. Would surely read the book you recommended by Eckhart Tolle. And haha, I would forever like to remain newbie dude, considering the infinite magnitude of this "rabbit hole". Ah so you say "They are all objects known to consciousness". I know the objects we both are talking about, at least I hope we both are talking about the same objects haha xD. But when you say "consciousness", my mind looks again for an object or assumes a "brain causing consciousness" or it struggles to find something called "consciousness" to have an reference experience of. If consciousness is prior to mind, then it'll forever struggle or grasp. So how to move prior to mind or how to recognize I never was the mind? This quote "What's looking is what you're looking for" is also confusing xD. What's looking - No-thing or nothing but the mind needs a thing. It refuses to accept this xD. Also deep sleep might be better reference experience for me for No-thing. There's nothing there and it's so nothing that I can't even say there's nothing there. So empty. Also I feel like deep sleep and the awaking state like an On/Off light bulb these days. When I wake up, I "see" a lighted up room, when i sleep, nothing exists. Read this Light bulb analogy somewhere but yes, it sure feels like light blub. Can my mind grasp consciousness from this light bulb analogy?
  4. Hi, so "consciousness" right now is a thought. But let's say we are trying to know or understand something called "consciousness". So, are taste, smell, touch, seeing, hearing all contents of consciousness? How to understand consciousness if it cannot be pointed to? How to make sense of consciousness? Please clarify.
  5. Hello "everyone". Would love to get your insights on this. "I've" been contemplating for sometime about Deep sleep and it's nature. From direct experience, it seems like there is no direct experience of deep sleep. Yet, if "I" want to think about it as a thought comes up. The thought has a mental imagery of an empty black void when "thinking" of deep sleep. Certainly, the thought of "I slept deeply" is not actually about Deep sleep or anything. It's a thought. Yet, why does the thought want to "believe" of deep sleep. Also, if deep sleep does not exist from direct experience, what am I even talking about? Does deep sleep have any similarity to death? Also what do people mean they are "aware" during deep sleep ? If there is nothing there, what are these "people" referring to?
