What message is the universe giving me?

Recommended Posts

So earlier today I asked for guidance from universe/source, in a form of music. I've asked for guidance often, and most of the time there seems to be no answer. But this time I felt the answer.

I opened a playlist on my music app and I just intuitively noticed the first song was 'it'. I can feel that the message is there. But I can't figure out what it means.

If some of you are intuitive and good in these matters, let me hear what you think of this song / what the message might be.

Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord

It ain't me, it ain't me

I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, no

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, Lord?
But when the taxman come to the door
Lord, the house lookin' like a rummage sale, yeah

It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, no

Yeah-yeah, some folks inherit star-spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask 'em, "How much should we give?"
Hoo, they only answer, "More, more, more, more"

It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no military son, son, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, one

It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, no, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate son, no, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me...

There must be an effortless way.

My art teacher used to play this in highschool all the time. Never listened the the lyrics, cause I never listened to any lyrics back then. Not sure if the likely intended meaning would translate well if you aren't American?

Thoughts that come up reading the lyrics...

"It ain't me" Typically we think of this sort of thing as identification by defining or pointing at what we aren't. But what if that too, "ain't me." Does that make sense?

Yes, that totally makes sense, and I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's up.

Thanks.
