There's sitting, standing, lying, and walking. There's nothing wrong with meditating on a chair. Lying posture imo is underrated. Walking is great. A relaxed mindful walk is healthy. I think walking is literally in our bones and our evolution. I have a kneeling bench and I like it. Quote Mention “If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? Try kneeling. A kneeling bench, or place a meditation cushion sideways between your legs (kind of like a saddle), so that you're not placing your whole weight on your legs. I can't sit in a lotus position either. I'm just not flexible enough. It's really uncomfortable. But kneeling seems to do the trick too, your spine remains straight. Space4This
The best chairs for doing work are the best chairs for meditation. The only prescription is to sit with one leg folded under the opposing thigh and with one foot planted on the ground or resting on your curled-up toes.
