During my desperate truth seeking days, listening to Leo caused me more confusion. I only started to see some clarity after I joined his forum and started interacting with different people. I'm not sure if it's him or me, but I could never imagine myself growing out of the seeker role as long as I kept following internet gurus. Even when I asked questions on Leo's forum, his answers were often confusing, like he doesn't have clarity or doesn't want to give it. I noticed gaslighting techniques and whatnot, but I didn't care, because using them is a relative thing (since basically everything is gaslighting). I notice now that almost every time someone posts that they've somehow "gotten awake" on Actualized that Leo tells them that there is more.

One of the things I'm loving about C is that it deals with lower level (more hardware) concepts such as memory and pointers. This connection with hardware is taken away in higher level languages, which seems to create gaps in one's understanding. JS felt somewhat abstract before, but now things are starting to make more sense.

I don't see the intent to brainwash, either. But who can? Intent is a thought, and nobody can see a thought, especially in someone else's mind. What I do see is the effects, and they seem to play in favor of marketing and money-making as Joseph highlighted.

Watching Joseph Maynor's videos is very clarifying. But it's also kind of scary how addicted that kind of clarity can make me. I mean that in terms of thinking. The more I listen to Joseph, the more I find my mind thinking. That hasn't been my normal mode of being for a very long time, so I feel somewhat overwhelmed by my thoughts sometimes. But I think that's what I need at this point. I need to move from no-mind back into the mind. It seems like the healthiest and most natural step to take.

I'm not sure what username you had there, but if you're Ananta, then I didn't mean to include you in that statement. As far as I know, Ananta gave up the moderation rather voluntarily and long ago, so I highly respect her.

Actually, I think Actualized is the least toxic of them all. As far as my experience goes, the rest are mostly pyramid scheme organizations used as a smokescreen to whitewash dirty money.

Many would agree with you in theory, but how many have the balls to actually apply that in practice? I got banned several times for not believing in the power hierarchy and you know it, so I think you're teaching the wrong person. Maybe. I don't have a fixed position there.

So basically compromising honesty for digital survival. That's what I call development.

Yeah, I get that. All I'm saying is that not many here seemed to mind Leo's "hang-ups" when they were there. But here suddenly, Leo is not infallible anymore. Suddenly, he has hang-ups. Is Leo really that scary?

It is interesting how power works. A good number of people with at least two former Actualized mods disagree with Leo, but have been silent all along up until now. As for the mods, I wonder if this is simply about losing the green letters.
