  1. I guess they've taken the dick measuring contest to the chess board. 😂
  2. The person that went to rehab for weed addiction was my step mom and it was in 1986 (I was 16). So, there was no "subconscious" anything about "war on drugs" at that time there was no war on drugs that I heard anything about. Also, I started smoking cigarettes at 10, was up to a pack a day by 12. Occasionally drank and smoked pot by 12 (stole it from my parents). Got addicted to opiates when I was 24. I had my own "personal" experience with drugs. Other stuff I didn't even mention, so don't pretend you know my past, because you know my age.
  3. Well, my son is 30. Not sure your age, but most likely I could be your mom. You know what they say, older and wiser. 😉
  4. Anyone who seriously wants to know about the potential of marijuana dependence can read about it here at the National Institute on Drug Abuse- https://nida.nih.gov/publications/research-reports/marijuana/marijuana-addictive
  5. Oh, I forgot to mention I got addicted to pain pills in my 20's when I had an injury. Had to quit those cold turkey too. None of the quitting was easy...but all of it necessary. Which makes me think I'm gonna have to say bye bye to the sweets for good too.
  6. @Blessed2 I unfortunately have an addictive personality. I have written before about my smoking/vaping addiction I quit that 4 or 5 yrs ago cold turkey. I dont recall the year. I also had quit alcohol completely, because of a tendency to binge if stressed. I don't do well with trying to use something I like "moderately". My current (but not new) struggle is sweets. I hate to cut them out completely, but there might not be another way. 🤷‍♀️ I haven't made up my mind yet.
  7. I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe read the article, or don't, but it can be addictive and lead to dependence. I had a family member go to rehab for Cannabis addiction years ago. She could not stop smoking it and almost lost her job because of it.
  8. There is such a thing as cannabis use disorder. “Cannabis use disorders are often associated with dependence—in which a person feels withdrawal symptoms when not taking the drug. People who use marijuana often report irritability, mood and sleep difficulties, decreased appetite, cravings, restlessness, and/or various forms of physical discomfort that peak within the first week after quitting and last up to two weeks,” explains Nora Volkow, M.D., director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)." “When dependence and other factors escalate to cannabis use disorder, a person cannot stop using the drug even though it interferes with many aspects of his or her life,” Dr. Volkow continues. “Some studies suggest that nine percent of people who use marijuana will become dependent on it, with higher rates in those who start using in their teens.” Other studies show even higher rates." https://www.psycom.net/cannabis-use-disorder
  9. Out of sheer curiosity, why don't you like it there? As far as Tolle goes "A New Earth: Awakening to your life's purpose" was the very first book on "consciousness" type spirituality I ever read. That was in 2009 and completely blew my mind 🤯. What do you mean his stuff is "unnecessary dense". I don't get what you mean.
  10. Funny that in the post of you spouting off to Phil to proof read, you didn't proof read yourself. 😅
  11. Well, actually, you singled me out, hence why we are having this discussion. If I piled on, then so did you, but you can't admit that, because you have this narrative running in your head that you are standing up for what is right and just. What did I call him, exactly? I said he's lost it because what he's saying is over the top "woo woo" and you know it! Frankly, I wish you'd get off your high horse, but I guess you feel the need to save face at this point. You have too much invested.
  12. Well, I'm also saying "he's lost it" do to "what he's saying", what the heck else would it be? I say, "he's lost it" and you say "he's talking crazy". There is no difference, Devin. We are both on an open forum and both made an opinion on what Leo is SAYING on his public forum.
  13. Is this a personal attack in your book also, saying he's talking crazy? Or is it just anything anyone else says? 🤔
  14. I did not personally attack him by saying he's lost it, since I literally do think he's lost it. Call it psychosis or whatever you'd like, but in layman's terms "he's lost it". The reason I'm clarifying is because you specifically called me out by saying I was a hater and naming my signature quote.
  15. Oh boy, didn't see that! 🤦‍♀️ @Lester Retsel Knock it off. You are getting dangerously high with your warning points. Think twice before name calling again in a way, shape or form. Saying "sounds like" then the word, will not stop you from getting warnings.
  16. @Lester Retsel You also called Devon a name earlier. So. Technically you should get 2 points. So, leave adeptus out of it. That's not your business!
  17. Please keep in mind that name-calling is against forum guidelines!
  18. First off, it's "take what you like and leave the rest". 😉 Second, please quote me saying what you think I've said that reflects that I hate Leo? I remember saying I think he's lost it, is that the same as "hate" to you? If so, I now think you've lost it! 😂🤣😂 And, are you they same Devin that is under the name Devin on Actualized? Why aren't you up everyone's ass on the Actualized forum that has something to say about Leo's current kangaroo mouse alien theory? I personally actually think the guy is experiencing a bit of psychosis from psychedelic drug overuse, but he's done that to himself. I feel bad though for some of his followers that actually believe what he's saying and for the other followers, It's probably a sad day when you realize your idol/guru has lost his mind!
  19. The comic joke It's a good topic. Sorry I didn't reply earlier to the topic itself. Anyways, here are a few emails on the matter from 2017 between me and my teacher at the time, Ted. Me: "Hi, I was reading your Satsang "what happens when we die" and had another question, if you don't mind. I wonder if a Jnani is only free for this current life? Meaning, the cycle of birth and death doesn't really end, because I'm awareness and it's awareness that keeps pumping out jivas and so long as that continues there will be identification as the ego slated for the next body grows and develops after birth. It all seems alittle pointless (Moksha), freedom from experience, if that knowledge is just for this lifetime? Then again, all we are dealing with right now is this lifetime. So, I guess the question is, we have to obtain Moksha in each new life? I know it won't be the same apparent person, but what's the point in Vedanta saying the cycle of birth and death will end, if it doesnt? Thanks" Ted: "Hi, Your suspicions are correct. While Vedanta says that moksha confers freedom from birth and death, this emancipation is not a matter of a “soul” (or what Vedanta refers to as the sukshma sharira, or subtle body) gaining some state of freedom, but rather is the result of assimilating the understanding that the self is already free and, thus, has never been born in the first place and, such being the case, is not subject to an ultimate demise. Having gained self-knowledge, the jnani realizes that her true identity is not the person she seems to be, but rather limitless conscious existence, and hence “becomes” free from the cycle of birth and death. Thus, moksha can be viewed from two perspectives. From the perspective of the jiva, moksha applies only to the present incarnation. From the perspective of the self (though actually the self has no perspective due to its impersonality and all-pervasiveness), moksha is its nature and, thus, the whole issue is a moot point. The reason Vedanta says that self-knowledge ends the cycle of birth and death is because through self-inquiry, the truth of one’s eternal nature is revealed. And the virtue of gaining such knowledge is that it ends the jiva’s suffering within the context of the present incarnation. Namaste, Ted" Me: "Hi Ted, Thank you for your quick reply. I don't know what the normal response is to realizing the info from the past email, but I find it very funny.. For whatever reason, as soon as you confirmed what I suspected I burst out laughing! And have been laughing on/off since.. Haha! Nameste" Ted: " Hi, I’m glad you’re laughing. You get the great cosmic joke! Namaste, Ted"
