There is a mind-body connection buried in suffering.

Between a traumatic memory and the body. 
 

Trauma is held on to not because it was experienced, but because it wasn’t, at least not fully. Would could think of re-experiencing these memories as a burden, or we could take the perspective that these are fruits to be digested, might not taste good from the outside, but when the inside comes out, and is expressed the relief is there. 
 

Each of these memories hold life-force energy in the constraints of time, unleashed when the memory is actually experienced fully, there is no more energy around the images or words.  

 

Do a resting meditation of your liking before this. 
 

Bring to mind a triggering image or words, the more fully it is seen/ heard/ visualized each time the better. 
Pause and notice if the body has any reactions to the image or words. 
Either way repeat bringing the image or words into the present, and checking if the body is triggered, reacted, expresses something. 
 

Sometimes the energy can be very dormant, so it can take a few cycles before the emotions start coming. 
If you get energy around it and you shut down, bring the image or word back up and re-trigger yourself. 


Combine this well weaving in self-inquiry, the work, any other tools you know for healing.

Bring up image of an infinite void. 
 

Check the body for reactions. 
 

Breath.

 

Repeat.

This is how you ask the body questions. 
It doesn’t even have to be a “?” question, can be more of statement to see if there is energetic/ emotional charge around it.

“I need time.”

 

Check to see if that belief is there. 
Do you need time to heal? 
You don’t, but allow the expression to come out about it. 

There in is the flow of the work, caught up in beliefs about doing work. 
 

What do I get out of needing time?

I don’t have to seek.

Check with the body.

 

I don’t have to believe this.
Check with the body.

 

There is no such thing as a distraction. 

It is the content of thought believed.

As it is felt that “I can’t open to the trauma”.

Ride every trigger/ distraction/ resistance back to the reservoir of the unexpressed.

Allow every knot a turn, to be held, and untangled.

Genuine Being isn’t enough?

Or is it too much?

 

It is actually both, that is the double bind. 
To a sticky habit you will find both the energy of “No, stop this.” & “Yes, keep going.”

In the middle of it all is an idea of a doer & the world. 
The idea of you. 
 

You want to become something, create a new identity. 
That is ok, but on the path of transformation, notice, the real Joy is being without any, fully taking in Now. 
 

Allow both sides of the double bind, the preference of what you want,

& the Emptiness of Being that is.
