the ego mind is illusion, illusion is not reality. consciousness is not nothing, you are constantly confusing nothing with everything it seems. and i'm not talking about "looking the other way" i'm talking about look another way.

reality doesn't contradict itself, only the ego mind's take on reality does that. its actually the easiest thing ever to "skip layers" and see anything differently, "cruel" is just one arbitrary human take out of many. the substance of reality is indeed consciousness.

"it's a cruel world" is a belief, a spin, an interpretation, a position you can come and go from. it seems to totally contradict your previous lofty statements on "consciousness" being primary to all interpretation. My world view is that all interpretation is mutable. there is no "correct take" on what it's like. metaphysics is just a way of understanding things that is not limited to the so-called scientific.

what does "metaphysics" even mean to you?
