Pattern is a thought and isn’t of or applicable to emotions.

 

The belief loop is a self referential thought & conceptualized emotion(s) lower on the scale than jealousy. 

 

There isn’t a cause as depressed isn’t how one feels. It’s how the loop and refuting of guidance feels / how the experience of the loop feels.

does nervousness have anything to do with emotional suppression? or is it just a normal response to certain situations, like talking to someone you want to impress?

Yes. Felt but unacknowledged emotion shapes interpretation. Excitement with unacknowledged fear or insecurity for example is interpreted as nervousness.
