This is what they were reading… https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/22/us/portland-good-samaritan-hospital-shooting/index.html I gave it a read and couldn’t help but notice this one line. It stood out… “…police did not detail any possible motive.” In the bigger picture - why not? The story is coverage of what was. Why not make the entire story about the motive, and what’s underlying of motive? What will bring an end to this? What’s un-normalizing look like? We focus so much on the guns, but what about the real root which is mental health or repression of emotion? Ive seen footage on YouTube of people defending their families with guns and it goes well, that is amazing to see. I saw a real story about a guy whose house got broken into by two armed men, they beat him really bad while his 8 months pregnant wife was in the bedroom, she peeked through the door, grabbed her AR-15 and shot at the intruders, this was an 8 months pregnant woman! We don’t need war, we can always talk & heal. I can’t really blame the hammer for hitting my thumb. 🔨 Why did we ever think war was a good idea in the first place?
