Joseph Maynor
Brian Downey is definitely on my top 5 drummers list. Phil Lynott – lead and backing vocals, bass, string synthesizer, celtic harp Brian Robertson – lead guitar Scott Gorham – rhythm guitar and lead guitar, backing vocals Brian Downey – drums, percussion Edited May 25 by Joseph Maynor Quote Mention 💬 🗯️🤍
Joseph Maynor
I can see why Kirk Hammett mentioned he loved this album. Gary Moore is an interesting guitar player and has a bluesy but also forward-leaning lead guitar style just like Kirk does. Phil Lynott – lead and backing vocals, bass guitar, twelve-string guitar Gary Moore – lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals Scott Gorham – lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals Brian Downey – drums, percussion Edited May 26 by Joseph Maynor Quote Mention 💬 🗯️🤍
Joseph Maynor
One of my favorite albums. Great remaster. Nice and loud! This is getting into the very best of Thin Lizzy albums (the fourth of the great quartet of albums). Brian Robertson is one of my favorite guitar players. He plays the otherworldy brilliant lead guitar solos. You can hear his style of guitar solo on "Rocky". Brian Robertson appreciates Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden which I though was way cool. Adrian Smith is another one of my favorite guitar players. I think the lead guitar solo on "Fools Gold" is Scott Gorham. It's tricky yet possible to distinguish between Robertson and Gorham sometimes. They're both excellent guitar players. Phil Lynott – bass, vocals, acoustic guitar Brian Robertson – lead and rhythm guitar (primarily lead) Scott Gorham – rhythm and lead guitar (primarily rhythm) Brian Downey – drums, percussion Edited May 27 by Joseph Maynor Quote Mention 💬 🗯️🤍

Joseph Maynor
One of my favorite albums of all time. This album just gets better and better as it goes too. Top shelf guitar solos. I'm trying to tell Robertson and Gorham's solos apart. For "Cowboy Song" I think Gorham takes the first guitar solo and Robertson takes the second guitar solo. "Emerald" is such a great song. Phil Lynott – bass, lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar Brian Robertson – rhythm and lead guitar Scott Gorham – rhythm and lead guitar, backing vocals Brian Downey – drums, percussion Edited May 28 by Joseph Maynor Quote Mention 💬 🗯️🤍

Joseph Maynor
This is the earliest Thin Lizzy album I love. It's less heavy than the other albums and more soulful. It's the first album Brian Robertson played on who is one of my favorite guitar players. So this is like the first of the quartet of classic Thin Lizzy albums for want of a better word. I love Scott Gorham as a guitar player too. This is one of my favorite albums. Phil Lynott – bass, vocals, acoustic guitar Scott Gorham – rhythm and lead guitars Brian Robertson – rhythm and lead guitars Brian Downey – drums, percussion Edited May 29 by Joseph Maynor Quote Mention 💬 🗯️🤍
