What’s The Most Convincing Aspect of Illusion?

How did you stop?

By noticing that thoughts appear and disappear. And noticing how that feels.

Our thoughts keep pointing to time, but they don't actually feel like what they're pointing to. That's the contradiction. Thoughts are felt now, but they say "no, I'm not happening now!"

You ever forget something, and then remember it, and then suddenly feel stressed about it, despite nothing changing in experience? What's going on there?

It's less of a "stopping", more of a "noticing" of occurrences like above.

"Stress" feels like the effort to change what you are now, which is the belief in time. Clarity is noticing that you are always what you are now and have never been anything else.

potentially, sometimes.

and i'm mostly blaming myself for not being good enough.

Someone specific is blaming you for something specific. Yes or no?

There are two of you, one blaming the other. Yes or no?

Do you experience tension & pain in the neck, shoulders, or back, fatigue / exhaustion / low energy, digestive issues, headaches / migraines or shallow breathing / tightness of chest / asthma?

i mean sometimes for sure. maybe a little bit.

Doesn’t sound like anyone’s blaming you for anything.

Are there two of you (one blaming the other). Yes or no.

Or, is blame an emotion which is felt when you experience certain thoughts? Yes or no.

yes

why is that so?

In short, emotion is guidance for thoughts.

More deeply, because you’re appearing as the thoughts.

Separate selves at fault.

there was a situation a few days ago where i felt like someone was blaming me and it resulted in me feeling quite bad and engaging in a self-destructive type of behaviour.

Blame is an emotion. It’s how thoughts feel. If blame is felt, it’s not coming from someone else.
