At the school there's a fellow student who seems to have some issues making friends. I think she might have experienced a lot of loneliness in the past and might be experiencing loneliness currently.

I assume that she wants to have friends though, and not experience loneliness.

Ideally, if I wouldn't have some restricting thoughts/beliefs, I could be a friend to her.

Though doing that seems a lot of work and isn't per se what I'd want to do.

But I also wouldn't want her to be lonely.

I wonder what attraction-point "side" is there to this situation?

I thought about the situation and a thought came in mind, that I could pray for her. I could pray for her to experience what she'd want to experience.

Why prayer? Cause it seems like I do not have the power or strenght to change her situation, yet I'd like for it to change (if that's what she wants too).

Does prayer in a situation like this make sense to you? Or is discordant? It does feel subtly discordant, doesn't it? Why?

I can give another example. Let's say someone is experiencing a drug addiction, and would like to be sober. But even though they want to be free, the using just isn't getting in control. Would prayer make sense in this situation?

If you aren't outrageously happy, you're functioning at a fraction of your potential.

Prayer is nice, but I love the tools they give you in reiki 2.

Yesterday I went to my son's soccer game, and the coach who I know is doing a lot of work for very little money or thanks totally lost it, and stopped coaching the team. Our team is terrible and we were against the undefeated team, at their home field, and the whole area has this great culture of support and excitement for the game and their team. There were so many people watching and it just fell apart spectacularly on our side, with our coach yelling at the kids, and then giving up, there being no one in goal and some parent screaming orders to all the kids on the sideline, after loudly criticizing the coach the whole game prior to that. 😂

In those train wreck situations when there's nothing you can say or do but watch, I love the reiki empowerment symbol, and just focusing "energy" or holding presence for what's wanted and not making a problem of what is.

Yea there's intercessory prayer.

But be careful with wanting to be someone's helper. Some people appreciate it while others might find it condescending. If someone is trying to help me I find it condescending. It's a matter of perception. What we perceive is not necessarily what the other perceives.

I'm the best person in the world. I am a great person. I am graceful, elegant, honest, loyal, loving, passionate, merciful, desirable, righteous, sincere, authentic, compassionate, funny, fun loving, thoughtful, considerate, empathetic, kind, sensitive, vulnerable and caring.

The kind of thoughts and beliefs that feel like insecurity. And maybe powerlessness.

She's a bit different from how most people are, in terms of communication. It's sort of awkward.

Awkwardness hits me like a needle. It's such an intense feeling of the two lowest bars.

Awkwardness is hilarious and refreshing when it's not about you or there's no trying to avoid it, hence why the movie Napoleon Dynamite is so hilarious and brilliant. Or the musician Aurora's interviews.

If she is that awkward, wouldn't it be easier to talk with her since there'd be no pressure on you to match her fantastic social graces? Or is it fear of what other people are thinking of you talking to her?

What if awkwardness is not an attribute of a person?

Why?

Because it seems like imperfection.

There's no god in the sky to pray to . You are god . People when they get into spirituality and hear this call it blasphemy because of their religious dogmatic upbringing.

Some people still believe there is a bearded man in the sky who will send you gifts if you suck his d*** and when will send thunder  bullets on you if you do  evil .

With that being said ..do whatever makes you happy. If praying to a god separate from you makes you feel better then go for it .  After all There is a reason deeply religious people are  some of the most happy people on the planet they are more happy than secular people.

Even if you're God at the Absolute level (not the ego)  you're not in conscious control of this hayride.  So in a sense nothing wrong with prayer as you are praying to your higher Self (which is the no self) .  But it's your actions and your  heart that could actually manifest a better outcome in this world than prayer could.  Since it's all you in the Absolute sense anyway.

I agree . I myself perform the Islamic prayer as a spiritual practice even though I'm aware that I'm Allah .
