Isagi Yoichi
It has been a while since I had a nightmare a common theme in nightmares is that there is some kind of satan or devil there and after I wake up there is fear of returning back to sleep this fear begins when u begin to sleep again u start to see that satan again I won't be able to return to sleep until I forget about it, why does this happen it happened many times in my life? I think this happens with everyone does it? Why do nightmares happen anyway the last time I had one was a year ago or more. Quote Mention
Mandy
It's something you're rejecting. Were you raised to believe that there was no outside power to be feared or avoided more that Satan? Quote Mention Youtube Channel

Maybe idk but I was taught to do some sort of religious ritual (recite texts) if I saw satan in my dreams. Quote Mention

Why specifically if you saw Satan in your dreams? Why was that even mentioned or discussed, and why the reason for the ritual, what was that supposed to do? It's for protection because satan is like the enemy in religions, It's read for protection but I don't do that anymore. Quote Mention
Mandy
@Isagi Yoichi Sounds more like a recipe for dreaming about Satan. Kind of funny actually. Quote Mention Youtube Channel

I don't think about this anymore, I was surprised when I had it yesterday because it has been a long time since I cared about this stuff Quote Mention
Mandy
@Isagi Yoichi Dreams utilize symbolism to show messages and to reveal what you're focused on, and the way they appear is independent of your identification or time frame. Mandy
Atheism is itself just another fantastical fiction. "I am beyond this religious story stuff, I'm not engaging in it." There is no myth or reality, so one can never exclude themselves from God, the Devil, or even religion or mythos. There just never was a reality to that one. Phil
The experience is that of thoughts, and not of sleep, satan & nightmares. ‘Those’ are thoughts. So to speak, ‘the mind’ or ‘ego’ likes to project fear, and uses exceptions to seemingly do so. As if sleep, memories, religious symbols, etc aren’t just thoughts. The Mind: “They’re different, special, exceptions - and so emotion doesn’t apply - there’s just no self-inherent guidance for this.” Awareness: Uh, ok “mind”. There is. ♥️ The key lies in diligence & self-respect as to what actually is, and what actually isn’t experienced. Start with typing ‘you’, rather than ‘u’. It’s super simple & begets diligence / clearer seeing as to what actually is, and what actually isn’t experienced - which dissolves fear, which is always of what isn’t actually experienced. Notice even in what was written, the ‘shifting’ between I and you (“u”). Change those you’s to I’s and read it again. The ‘ego’ is not your friend. 🙂 Let the religious ritual & connotations therein go altogether, noting the focus underlying the thoughts is still on satan. Practice “basic” mindfulness before sleep. Grounding yourself in awareness & the true nature of can help reduce & dissolve fear and anxiety about ‘returning to sleep’. Acknowledge as well that the nightmares are just thoughts and not a reflection of reality. Quote Mention YouTube Website Sessions
