How to find good feeling thoughts?

Sounds like you get the map(s) and now let’s explore the actual territory.

Ease up on the knowing (that everything is not like you want). Maybe it is, maybe it’s perfection, obscured by the thought about it. Open-mindedness 👍🏼. Same for the thought about how you’re not going to shift your focus. Affirming “I am going to shift my focus”, is subtle, easy, and would be a ‘found’ resonating good feeling thought, which attracts more good feeling thoughts in-kind.

Appreciation & gratitude never fail in this regard. One pretty easy practical way would be to use GPT. First thing in the morning, log in, and type something like “help me culminate appreciation right now”. (I’d add - “with extreme brevity”, that way it’s kept simple.

The simplicity can be initially elusive, in that there truly is no need to find good feeling thoughts. Un-obscured of discordant thoughts, resonating thoughts naturally arise, reflecting the true nature of being.

Sounds like maybe there was a recent more specific experience…?

Is it too uncomfortable for now to share?

I just had a disagreement with the people I work with they accused me of stuff I didn't do so they could get me doing the shit part of the job or get fired idk but so much lying and assholery and also they want me to shave my beard as a part of the job and I refused and quit.

Sounds like the fog of assertion, which is really just the fuckin worst. Assholes aside for a minute, did you want the beard more than the job?

I thought I would shave it but there is that asshole guy who is in charge said to me "shave that thing that's on your face" so I decided I am not going to shave it and quit

Oh, got it. It was more about how he said the things he said. Anything more specific in that regard? How did he say it?

He said Shave that thing that's on your face instead of telling me to shave your beard, I didn't reply to him he kept saying Okay? he was waiting for me to reply as if giving me an order I didn't reply.

Also, I got into some trouble with someone who wanted me to stay in the same room they rest in they were smoking because I don't like to be around the smoke smell they made it a problem that I am not taking my rest with them lol anyways It's some stupid shit I never would have got that job if that's were the case.

Wouldn’t it be strange if you don’t even have a face, but experience - everybody else - just portrays you do… just like everybody else? That’d just be super weird. I digress.

I can really relate. A trillion years ago I had really long hair and was pitched a promotion. The district manager said something about even though this would be a promotion from night stock boy to day shift supervisor, he has to promote people even into that position, which he can see as General Managers down the road. He said, “Phil - I struggle to see Daniel Boone as a GM”. Shaved my head that night & never went back. But respectfully, we differ in that I don’t give a fuck. The day shift was a Godsend and I was headed to total freedom, and no one could take it from me.

Synchronicity’s a strange happening as well. As we’re chatting here, the song that came on is Slither by Velvet Revolver. It just hit me, as the band is a mix of former members of Guns & Roses and STP, which originally stood for Shirley Temple’s Pussy - they named the new spin off band Velvet (a callback to Shirley’s softer side let’s say) & Revolver, a more obvious callback to G&R’s. I can only assume, in naming your band Shirley Temple’s Pussy - he or they just didn’t give a fuck. Then they changed the name to Stone Temple Pilots just because a record label offered them a deal - they really must not have given two fucks at all. I wonder if maybe Stone Temple Pilots is a reference to their former giving a fuck rigidity. Who knows I guess. Glad the music made it to me though.

Do you suspect, maybe even if only intuitively as a subtle hunch, there’s something synchronistically playing out here in regard to the beard, shaving it or not - respect & disrespect, the tension, and the difficult choice in the light of others… who for whatever personal reasons or beliefs they must be holding, always seem to be working against you?

Is the paramount concern that this disrespect will just continue because the world is chalked so full of self absorbed self righteous assholes making workplace rules for no logical or rational reason and communicating these rules is demoralizing judgmental demeaning ways?
