Mandy
Is complaining to others just healthy venting? Is it sharing intimacy? Is it expression? Is it avoidance of talking with the person we really want to talk to, possibly out of fear of "confrontation"? Is it possible that we are assuming there will be a confrontation when we don't actually know how they will respond? Is complaining avoidance of figuring out what it is we really want? How does complaining actually feel? Quote Mention Youtube Channel
MetaSage
So, what is the activity of complaining about? What is its purpose and origin? It seems to start with a negative, hence unwanted, assessment. An experience that we're putting up with. We do the complaining, so it is caused by us regardless of potential triggers that assist us in that. We may regain a sense of capacity by complaining about a situation deemed to be out of our power to control or influence. In so doing, we feel better about ourselves. We may assume that we're accomplishing something by complaining. Some thoughts. Edited August 8 by MetaSage Quote Mention

Mandy
Complaining is a half baked desire along with the expectation that it's going to be fulfilled or fixed by someone or something outside. Expressing a desire without insistence that it be understood, validated, agreed with or granted is liberation and creation, or just the end of manipulation. Mandy
What if what's meant by vulnerability is just the letting go of insistence on the outcome of being understood, liked, validated or assisted in any way from an outside other or force? Phil Posted yesterday at 02:05 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:05 PM If it wasn’t believed someone’s hearing the complaining, would one complain? Quote Mention YouTube Website Sessions
