The subject (you) and object (life) is the content of thought, not per se anything actually known.

Is life easy or difficult?  It's  both easy and difficult.  Easy and difficult can coexist, it doesn't have to be one is kept and the other gets chopped off.  That's the usual assumption though.  No, they both can coexist, easy vs./and hard.
