Nobody Knows What Spirituality Is

No spiritual person knows what it is. No spiritual teacher or guru knows what it is. No mystic, saint, or sage knows what it is. Nobody at all knows what it is. Nobody at all has ever known what it is. And finally, nobody at all will ever know what it is.

 

The reason nobody knows what it is, is because it’s a social construct just like gender, race, and money. This means it’s defined by the collective participation of the individuals involved with it. As is the case with any social construct, this works in such a way that any individual involved in creating it may remain ignorant of their part in doing so.

Saying something is a social construct doesn’t explain what it is, only how it works. It’s the same as how saying “gender is a social construct” doesn’t explain what a man or a woman is, only the process through which they are defined.

Not exactly, because it points to the process of construction itself rather than the result of the construction or what is being constructed.

But saying the way in which something becomes defined says nothing about what it’s defined as.

Sure, you could define something as a social construct, and in that sense, yes, I know what spirituality is, and so do others. But that would create another problem because it’s being defined as what it’s being defined by.

No one is trying to do anything here, that’s the rub. 

It all goes without anyone to do it, nothing needs to be known at all. 
It has absolutely nothing to do with knowing, just Love. 
There is nothing to know about Not-Knowing, 

Knowing is a knot, untangled as Feeling.
