The very thought "oneness will become more apparent" is also oneness. Its never something that can be "seen". Any "seeing" is also oneness, "not seeing" is oneness and the seeking itself also oneness. You see the trouble here? Whatever you do you just can't escape oneness. Its the illusory nature of seeking that keeps "you" from recognising "yourself". Following and believing thought that has divided oneness up into "oneness" and "not oneness". Even the dividing up is oneness! It's illusory. The division is only present in thought, its not really there. That's why you might hear it described as a hallucination or mirage. It appears real, but isn't. Unfortunately, we have to seek to see that we never had to seek in the first place. What a pain in the ass huh! π

My struggle with smoking addiction

I stopped smoking using the Allen Carr book as well. Really helped a lot. He actually encourages you to smoke the whole way through the book until the very end and then there's a chapter called "Your last cigarette". I lit my last one whilst reading the chapter and couldn't finish it. I'd highly recommend it. I haven't smoked now for about 15 years. Good luck... it's one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life so I feel for you. -
I saw it! First time . Don't know what that says about me π³

@Faith Thanks! I wasn't going to put any music under them at first, but I'm glad I did. That first one is my favourite too. She was wonderful. I love that song too. I can remember being obsessed with it as a kid too! I used to listen to it on my Dad's record player and pretend I was Jeff Lynne! I always loved the "doo wap" bits in the chorus π

It's amazing just how brutally honest and open some of these people were. When I was listening back to them it felt almost a bit intrusive because they were so intimate. They're so diverse. Some really happy, some really sad, some really profound and some of them just make you fill up with joy (like the first one!) It started as a bit of an art project that's fallen by the wayside a bit, but I'd love to collate them altogether at some point. Thanks π

A lot of respect to you for even writing that post π That happens to most guys I think at some point and most daren't admit it. I'd just say don't over-think it. Be you. I know that sounds like crappy advice and a cliche, but all it takes is just saying "hi, I'm ....." and off the conversation goes! Over think it and analyse it too much and the worse the problem seems to become (for me anyway). Ironically, I think you did something way more difficult by writing about it βΊοΈ You got some great things to say on here, girls are gonna dig you π

I've been working on a bit of a side project just for fun really where I've been trying to collate a variety of audio clips from people about their differing experiences of love. I'd thought of putting it all together somehow and at some point, but not sure how yet. Some of it has been really beautiful and I've been amazed just how brutally honest people have been. The idea was that I provide a series of questions. The individual reads the question to themselves and then records their response to the question. The "listener" will not get to hear the question, just the answer. I thought I'd share a few here. I've put some really gentle music behind each as well which helps set the tone. Some of the audio might not sound too great as some people have recorded on their phones and with poor quality mics. These people are not actors and haven't been told what to say. They are just random people that responded to an advert I put out.... Part 1.mp3 Part 4.mp3 Part 7.mp3 Part 9.mp3

No idea. Weird isn't it

What feels right for you? If something is having a negative effect then it's obviously not right. Do what you instinctively feel is best for you. Nobody is judging you. There's no definitive answer that suits everyone. I remember you saying on another thread that you're at University and so I assume you're in your early twenties? I'm an old man in comparison, but remember the dilemmas I had about girls at that age too. My advice would be to just relax and don't over-think or analyse it. In my experience the right person comes along at the right time, but ALWAYS when you least expect it! All of the relationships I've ever had have started through chance encounters. My wife for example was someone I just got a light from for my cigarette. I didn't use that as some sort of chat up line, she was simply the closest person to me at the time. Romantic huh! π

ππ I have a very funny mental picture of you moving your phone backwards on forwards onto your nose whilst going cross eyed!! Hope you're in the house and not out in public... although that would be even funnier ππ
-
If you do it on your cell and put your nose against the screen. Then move the phone away gently so it's about 12 inches from your face. That might work
-
It took time for me to get them too. You have to almost go cross eyed to see them. Amazing when they work though.
-
If you never saw one of these it's a 3d magic eye picture. Stare at the image and it reveals a 3d image within it. Sometime help if you start real close and gradually move away from the screen

Don't know whether this fits, but you gotta love it... it's beautiful

Yeah, but never really interacted on there.
