  1. I have taken alot of psychedelics, but I am beginning to take a critical look at them. An experience can be very profound during a journey, but the next day it is just a memory. What exactly are the long term benefits? It would be interesting to have an honest discussion of this without all the hype. That includes books which usually contain much hype to sell the book.
  2. This is my take on Trump. He initially became popular with his “Build the Wall” gimmick. So, he was triggering people’s survival instincts, fueling fears that the refugees coming across the southern border was an “invasion” of people that are going to take something from them. That is the essence of populism. What is never explained by the corporate controlled mass media, is that the root problem is globalization. It is globalization that impoverishes cities in America through labor arbitrage (sending the jobs to China), creating an increasing inequality in America, that fuels the populism (“they want to take everything away from me”). It is also globalization that loots the resources of poor countries, taking the land of its citizens through fraud and violence, who then go into cities where there is no work, and then in desperation, follow their stolen resources to America. The corporate mass media then fuels the fighting between the victimized groups, which is profitable to them, taking the focus off of the real culprits – the globalist ruling class. A good book that goes into the depressing details is “The Case Against the Global Economy” by Jerry Mander.
  3. I don’t involve myself with politics. But from a spiritual perspective, I am amazed at how someone revealing their attitude on Trump has become a quick and effective way to cut through the mask.
  4. "Every time we laugh we are in a way experiencing a mini enlightenment, a tiny letting go of some attachment to some bit of belief or sense."
  5. Ayahuasca keeps me stuck in my mind. There are intense visions and there is always a story. Sometimes there is delving into the past. Bufo Alvarius moves me beyond the mind to the present moment. There is silence. There are no visions and no stories. I prefer Bufo.
